Saturday, October 29 – Yesterday morning we crossed into South Carolina and checked into our rental.

Cloudy day, so we explored a bit as we gradually acquired our travel partners at the airport. Had a full house by midnight.

Woke up to clouds and humidity but made the most of it, getting in several walks, many laughs and perhaps more than a few beverages. Took advantage of the house amenities, particularly the enclosed patio and hot tub. Bernie did a great job grilling for dinner (yes, of course there are food pics) and we finished with huge ice creams from the iconic Bert’s Market which is dangerously close to our house.

Now watching the baseball game which is far more humorous than one would generally expect. Charleston proper tomorrow.
