Portugal Trip Day 19

Claremont, NH

Friday, April 14 – Return home day. Never an exciting post, but when it comes to air travel, the best thing that can happen is that it is boring. Which, indeed, is a good description of the day.

Early Uber, and then security and passport checks (plural) at the airport before our flight. Completely uneventful flight except it was 40 minutes late which compressed time to catch our scheduled bus to NH. This was not helped by the line of approximately 500 people at Logan passport control. By some miracle (actually, a bus driver with a full bladder), the bus was still at the terminal when we bolted out—phew! Rest of the trip, again, blissfully dull. Look at me go, no snark!

Thankfully, we have wonderful friends at home. Mary Carter took care of our mail and even met the delivery of Erin’s giant hat while we were away. Maryann Driscoll left a selection of foods so we didn’t have to think about dinner. You guys are the best.

A fine end to a great vacation.
