Porto, Portugal
Wednesday, April 5 – have to start noting the day of the week because I’m starting to lose track . Explore Porto day. Beautiful morning run along the river as the sun came up–wide flat sidewalk with nary a cobblestone in sight! Felt so good after my run that I walked around a bit as my cooldown. It’s great to be out and about while most of the tourists (and my husband) are still sleeping.
B&B owners provided a lovely breakfast and then we just wandered. 75 degrees and sunny, we decided we didn’t want to commit to anything specific, just see where the path took us. Great market, then some great old buildings, a walk over the bridge and along the other side of the river.
Did a little shopping, some more wandering and finished with a nice dinner outside in a square that was hopping with people and a great street musician playing a soprano sax. Finished with one last stroll along the river.
Tomorrow we move on to Sintra!
