Boston, MA
Friday, September 23 – Well, not really vacation, but an inevitable part of travel–the dreaded trek back.
Woke up before the sun so I did get in one final jog around Ljubljana. It was dark and 38 degrees, but I was not alone –the cafe owners, delivery trucks, market folks and students on their bicycles were all out with me.
A nice breakfast at the hotel and we were in our car and off to Zagreb, where we had several hours at the airport before out flight to Frankfurt.
Our flight was late, which made for a bit of a rush to catch our connection to Boston, but we made it, despite some people who seem to feel that it’s a good idea to walk as slowly as possible in jetways and stairwells using their luggage as a barricades. Thank goodness for cardio classes!
We are patting ourselves on the back for arranging to use my Pittsburgh hotel points to stay overnight in Boston and not try to rush through Customs to catch the last coach to NH. We shall do that in the morning after a good night’s sleep!
And while it has been a long day (20+ hours, 4 countries), it does not dim what has been an excellent trip!
Hotel:
Hilton-Boston Logan Airport:
An airport Hilton. Exactly what one would expect. But so conveniently located after a long day of travel!
