Greece-Croatia Trip Day 18

Ljubljana, Slovenia

Thursday, September 22 Last full day in Europe–explore Ljubljana day.

Started with a brisk (emphasis on the word ‘brisk’ as it was 37 degrees!) walk along the river as the sun came up.

Breakfast at the hotel was fun, there was a group from the same tour we took 4 years ago eating there. We got to tell them they were in for a great trip.

Then, we just wandered–revisted places we enjoyed our first time, visited some others we had not gotten to see before. The sun burned through the clouds and it turned out to be a gorgeous day.

For dinner, there was a restaurant we ate at twice on our last visit and I actually had the foresight to make reservations before we left home—go.me! Good thing as it was booked solid! Enjoyed a lovely dinner and a final riverfront stroll before calling it a night.

Sad to say goodbye, but it has been a great vacation and we head home to the colors of Fall in New England. Just have to get through the trials and tribulations of air travel tomorrow. I’ll likely have pictures of airport waiting areas and grumpy comments, hope you all bookmark this space 😄
