Friday, August 30 – Last day in Scandinavia, heading home tomorrow.

Travel day, left Stockholm this morning. Seriously unimpressed with the Swedish rail system. Trains were running more than an hour behind in Stockholm, which happens, but kept posting arrival times that we knew could not be correct–just be honest, I can handle that.

Then, because train was so late, it is suddenly announced that the final stop is Malmo, find your way to Copenhagen on a local train. Seriously? Arrived almost 2 hours late, thanks.

Did have reservations for a nice dinner–celebrating our 30th anniversary. It actually isn’t for a couple of weeks, but this trip was our anniversary gift. Good food and wine helped assuage the travel headaches and provided today’s travel photos.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to Scandinavia, aside from the Swedish trains it has been a wonderful vacation!
