Denmark-Sweden, Day 6

Stockholm, Sweden

Sunday, August 25 Taking high speed train to Stockholm.

Thus far, had to walk out to satellite track 26 in Copenhagen (of course, with luggage). Then 5 minutes before departure, they announce, just kidding, we are are really leaving from track 4. Grab your bags, up the stairs, down the stairs, down the platform and onto the train with 500 others. Train departs, over bridge to Sweden. Uh oh, technical difficulties, need to change trains in Malmo. Get your luggage, off the train, down the platform, up the stairs, down the stairs, down the platform and onto new train.

Two thoughts (1) too many people walk too slowly (note they ALWAYS have the biggest bags and walk smack in the middle of the aisle) and (2) thank you Dawn for boot camp class–I was well prepared for train tabata!

First evening in Stockholm we had dinner at an Irish pub, so nothing photo worthy. However, they did serve Drambuie at incredibly reasonable prices so I will be back.

Did an evening reconnaissance through Gamla Stan, will return for a more thorough walk during our visit. Right now, ready to kick back and relax a bit, looking forward to four more days to explore.

Sadly, no photos today…
