Siesta Key, Florida
Friday, November 3 – last day in Redington Beach and we made the most of it. I got up before sunrise so figured I was due for a morning jog. Got in a 5K and finished up with a nice large Dunks coffee.
Nancy then joined me for a beautiful 5+ mile long walk along the beach where we lucked out and saw a group of dolphins frolicking in the water as the sun came up.
We all went out for a great breakfast where the bartender seemed to have some kind of confusion which resulted in multiple extra mimosas showing up at our table gratis–not the world’s worst problem.
Michelyne and Richie generously offered us the use of their pedal kayaks and we took them out for a ride around the Intercoastal Waterway. Must admit, love using legs instead of arms for power! It was a perfect day for being out on the water and we easily worked off those mimosas.
Then it was time for hugs, thanks and goodbyes before we headed out for our next stop, Siesta Key. We’re in a funky VRBO conveniently located between the beach and the commercial zone. Ideal for exploring the area.
After checking out the space, we caught a beautiful sunset on the beach and then Bernie grilled an amazing dinner complete with drinks and laughs. A perfect finish to another great day in the sun.
Tomorrow, we explore our new environs.

Funky layout, but lots of space, great patio and a door in the backyard that leads straight into the main street full of bars, shops and restaurants. Very short walk to the beach and parking with the unit.
Sights along two separate beaches (North Redington AM, SIesta Key PM) and along the Intercoastal
Brunch:
Again, I forget the name, but it’s the place we went a couple of days ago, except this time we got extra mimosas 🙂
Dinner:
Stopped at both grocery and liquor store en route to Siesta Key. Bernie grilled dinner on our patio, add a glass of wine — relaxed and delicious!
Transition day between locations, but we still were able to pack in a lot of outdoors time. Smart call getting groceries — made for a much more relaxed arrival and no one beats Bernie when it comes to making a great meal!
