Greece-Croatia Trip Day 12

Split, Croatia

Friday, September 16 – Yes, yes, indeed it was our anniversary today. We woke up in Zagreb and had another delicious fresh breakfast made by our B&B host Tanya. We very much enjoyed our conversations with her and we definitely felt we could have spent one more day in Zagreb.

Instead, we picked up our rental car and headed for the Split and the Dalmatian Coast. The first part of the trip was rainy, but the skies cleared as we approached the water. This was our first ‘return’ visit on this trip, as we had been to Split 4 years ago on a tour and liked it so much we wanted to come back.

Strolled the Riva and made reservations for dinner at a place we had loved on our last visit. Had time for a drink on the Riva before cleaning up.

Our dinner was everything we remembered–great food and a wonderful ambiance, aided and abetted by some fun table neighbors from Germany. A wonderful evening altogether.

Thanks to everyone for the kind anniversary wishes, it was an excellent day!
